Day one - Fly Arusha / Katavi:

7:00 AM - After breakfast pick up from the hotel in Arusha. Picnic lunch

Transfer to Arusha airstrip for your shared charter flight to Katavi

Arrive in Katavi National Park. Pick up by camp vehicle

Afternoon depart for game scheduled activities

Dinner and overnight at CHADA KATAVI TENTED CAMP (FB)

Day two - Katavi National Park:

7:00 AM - Breakfast at the camp.

Morning game drive in the park

12:00 PM - Lunch at the camp

Afterwards proceed for an afternoon guided walk

Dinner and overnight at CHADA KATAVI TENTED CAMP (FB)

Day three - Katavi National Park:

7:00 AM - Breakfast

8:00 AM - Bird watching with a professional guide in the forest

Meals and overnight at CHADA KATAVI TENTED CAMP (FB)

Day four - Fly Katavi / Mahale:

7:00 AM - Breakfast

7:30 AM - Transfer to Katavi airstrip for departure by shared charter to Mahale Mountains

Pick up by camp vehicle on arrival. Transfer to the camp for lunch

Afterwards proceed for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest

Observing the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, one cannot help but be touched by their natural grace and anthropomorphic features. Although remote, a chimpanzee safari to Mahale

Dinner and overnight at GREYSTOKE MAHALE LUXURY CAMP

Day five - Mahale Mountains:

7:00 AM - Breakfast

8:00 AM - Chimpanzee tracking in the forest

The hikes takes you to the chimps habitation areas are accessible and not strenuous, although being in good physical condition will ease the strain of walking through the jungle! Up close, observing the endangered primates is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Day six & seven - Mahale Mountains:

7:00 AM - Breakfast

8:00 AM - Chimpanzee tracking in the forest

Chimp tracking, forest walks, birding, boat trips, snorkeling, fishing and kayaks

Day eight - Departure:

7:00 AM - Breakfast

8:00 AM - Transfer to Mahale airstrip for departure by shared charter flight to Kilimanjaro or Dar es Salaam. Met for assistance to connect onward International flight
